About Me

​Hi, I'm Deha, and I love making affordable equestrian belts for those who love horses! I enjoy riding and personally love wearing these stylish belts. I hope you do too!

 

I started Baysandbelts in 2021 with a passion to make a more comfortable belt because leather belts were bulky and heavy. I began my business with a singular belt. I wanted to test if it would live up to my standards. I wore it everyday, handwashed it every week, didn't store it in proper conditions, but it still held up for many months. I then realized this was something I wanted to share with other people as well.

​I soon began showing my belts to everyone at my barn and I made many sales in just a couple weeks. I was so impressed, I went to my trainer to ask how I could expand my belts. She told me to sell at local horse shows. I was so excited, until I realized I would have to wait many weeks until the next horse show. However, my trainer was hosting a fundraiser. I decided to sell my belts there. I felt really happy that I could help my trainer raise money for the barn.

"You have two hands, one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others" - Audrey Hepburn. This was the quote I lived by my entire life. Helping others is a deep passion of mine, and I believed Baysandbelts would allow me to accomplish that dream on a larger scale. I started donating our profits to the nonprofit organization Partners For Progress, a therapeutic riding center. As a volunteer, seeing the wonderful riders every week brightens my day and encourages me to donate towards improving their experience. That is when our motto was created: changing lives, one belt at a time.​​

​I then created this website, and I am so excited to be able to empower riders of all ages with physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions to follow their dreams and develop skills that will stay with them forever. I hope you enjoyed my story, and it's truly a dream come true to spread kindness and awareness all over the equestrian community!
