About Me

​Hi, I'm Deha, and I love making affordable equestrian belts for those who love horses! I enjoy riding and personally love wearing these stylish belts. I hope you do too!

 

I started Baysandbelts in 2021 with a passion to make a more comfortable belt because leather belts were bulky and heavy. I began my business with a singular belt, it was orange because it was made around Halloween time. I wanted to test if it would live up to my standards. I wore it everyday, handwashed it every week, didn't store it in proper conditions, but it still held up for many months. I then realized this was something I wanted to share with other people as well.

I soon began showing my belts to everyone at my barn and I made many sales in just a couple weeks. I was so impressed, I went to my trainer to ask how I could expand my belts. She told me to sell at local horse shows. I was so excited, until I realized I would have to wait many weeks until the next horse show. However, my trainer was hosting a fundraiser. I decided to sell my belts there. Not only would I be helping my trainer raise money, I would be testing if a larger audience would like to buy my belts.

I ended up getting so many sales where almost everyone at the fundraiser bought a belt. My stand was crowded with people and I couldn't have been happier.

Soon after, the summer show season came up, and I sold my belts at almost every show. Everybody loved my stand and came back for more belts each show. I loved seeing the smile on their faces when they bought my belts. Which made me want to expand my belts to an even larger community, the world! That is when I created my website, and I am so excited to be able to send my belts to people in different states and countries!
